Four lanes all the way to Morris Bridge Road one step closer to becoming a reality.

With the recent completion of the PD&E Study, residents are getting ready for approval of another New Tampa roadway project.

When Cross Creek was widened to four lanes from the fire station to Cory Lake Isle a few years ago, it did cause some travel inconveniences during the construction phase, but most residents would agree the travel up Cross Creek is more pleasant now. The long backups where the two lanes used to merge are gone, the additional driving lanes and traffic lights have made navigating in and out of communities such as Hunter's Green and Arbor Green much easier and it is even possible to navigate past St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Sundays without incurring a 15 minute delay.

The section of Cross Creek from Cory Lake to Morris Bridge, the 2.3 mile undivided roadway, would be widened to a four lane divided highway with this project. This would likely ease the burden in some tricky spots for residents, including the two entrances to Heritage Isle, The Gardens at Crosss Creek Apartments and Canterbury Trail.
