School Boundries

School boundaries change constantly in Hillsborough and Pasco County, particularly in the New Tampa area that has experienced significant growth. The schools listed on this website with certain communities may not necessarily be the one to which your child will be assigned if you move into one of the New Tampa or Wesley Chapel communities found on this site. Always contact your school district for the latest enrollment information.

What is "New Tampa"?

New Tampa is an unincorporated suburb in the metro Tampa Bay area. It is considered to be a neighborhood of the city of Tampa lying within Hillsborough County, but is more commonly recognized as an area that includes parts of neighboring Pasco County as well. Roughly, the area is considered to include the areas adjacent to Bruce B. Downs Blvd in north Tampa and southeast Pasco County. It includes, among others, the developments of Tampa Palms, Cross Creek, Pebble Creek, Hunter's Green, Arbor Greene, Cory Lake Isles, West Meadows, Heritage Isles, Meadow Pointe, Seven Oaks, and Richmond Place.

New Tampa is an area of high growth and higher than average income, and is suburban in nature.

New Tampa History

New Tampa remained undeveloped until the late 1980's, when the city of Tampa annexed the area. Tampa Palms, the oldest neighborhood in this community, is where it all began. Conscious efforts have been made by developers to maintain New Tampa's beautiful, natural setting. Communities have guidelines that ensure the land remains preserved and the animals that live on the land, protected. A number of communities maintain their own fitness center, playground, community center, pool, tennis courts, and so much more.
